Samsung Pop Up + A Review on what I thought of the Galaxy S8 Plus!

This post is in partnership with SAMSUNG and was written by me and reflects my true and honest opinion.

This past September, I was able to attend the Samsung Studio Pop-Up at the fountains at Caesar’s Palace. The event was one of 6 pop-up Studios that Samsung held across the country in Washington DC, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and right here in Las Vegas to highlight their newest innovations. The Samsung Galaxy Studio (which is the ultimate way to experience all the newest technologies firsthand) was a blast to visit. Prior to the event, I was able to get my hands on the new Samsung Galaxy S8+ and was so impressed with how amazing the phone was! Being a blogger and active social media content creator, I rely heavily on having a good camera with me at all times; more often than not, I’m not going to drag my DSLR around everywhere. So, for those on-the-go pics I need to rely on the camera on my phone. I was excited when Samsung gave me a Galaxy S8+ to try out, because I’d heard that the camera was amazing. I was able to take it on our trip to San Francisco and the picture quality speaks for itself!

Let’s talk specs:

  • 12 Mega pixel with dual pixel sensor
  • 7/F lens
  • Dual front and back camera
  • One of the industry’s best waterproof phones
  • Infinity edgeless screen
  • Comes with S Pen

One of the major advantages of the Galaxy S8 camera is its ability to shoot in Pro mode which allows you to control and adjust all the elements that you’re use to working with on a DSLR, such as the ISO, white balance, and shutter speed. Also, with its 1.7/F stop lens, this phone allows in a ton of light which makes taking photos in low light a breeze – not to mention the camera’s large array of shooting modes. One of my fave features is the smart auto focus, which helps keeps moving targets, such as the faces of running toddlers, in focus. You know you’re a mom when that’s your fave feature!

In addition to the phone, the Samsung Studio showcased some cool new products that Samsung has to offer. There we got to play with their new 4D virtual reality goggles and I was blown away by how real everything looked! There were also new fitness watches on display and interactive touch screens that displayed the Infinity screen and the S pen features. There were so many items that my husband wanted to take home – those VR goggles being at the top of his list. To find out more about Samsung’s new innovations, be sure to check out the Samsung Galaxy Studios in person through the end of the year to see all that they have to offer!
